gear your theme or style to the venue type, location or era.
If your venue is a downtown Hotel, plan your wedding theme around the
Hotel ambiances.
Examples:
Hotel with train station ambiance;
Have your whole Bridal Party dressed in that era and have them holding a small suitcase adorned with flowers
instead of the usual bouquet/boutonniere.
Include in your invitations that guests should dress in that time period.
Have ushers dressed like train conductors and so on and so on.
If your venue is outside in a park or forest incorporate a Tree Planting Tradition or
have the Release of Butterflies or Doves with special prayers or songs. Have friends or family members say a
poem or prayer or sing. Include them in the ceremony to make it more personal.
Use the outside as a theme and make the most of the location. Have ribbons hung in
the nearby trees to flow in the wind. At sunset have tons of twinkle lights in the trees.
Just remember you are paying good money for that PARTICULAR VENUE
so take advantage of it!
